Internet TV is Important for Local TV Broadcasters
Local media broadcasters can dramatically benefit from Internet TV distribution if they know how to monetize the content. During my interview with Rick Ducey from BIA at the OTTCon trade show, he explained that he has seen dramatic changes, challenges, and most important, new opportunities. Rick explained that some local broadcasting companies view Internet as a potential challenge when in actually can be a great revenue generation tool. Local broadcasters can dramatically benefit (much higher CPM ad rates) from highly targeted and measurable Internet TV while also producing new revenue streams.
