Implementing Adult Pin Code Verification Applications

According to the Parents Television Council, a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center stated 75% of the 1,505 adults would like to see tighter enforcement of government rules on broadcast content, particularly when children are most likely to be watching. To prevent adult content from children, password protection must be in place to control who can view explicit content. During IBC, Danny Wilson from Pixelmetrix discussed a parental control audit application which can automate zoned image detection and validation. By scanning all of the channels, the application checks for a locked screen message on adult channels. After entering the correct PIN code, the application confirms that video and audio comes out of the set top box.
