Shared and Scalable Storage Solutions to Improve Video Production Workflows

Broadcasters always need more reliable and cost effective storage. Corbin Seeber from Small Tree explained to me at the NAB show about shared and scalable storage solutions for the broadcast industry. Key challenges for video producers include producing more programs in higher resolution formats which require a lot more storage space. Many video storage systems are not scalable and can be hard to access. Video producers need flexible and efficient storage for many types of workflow processes which allow for remote access. These systems need to be capable of working with production systems including Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and others. To Solve this issue, Small Tree has created the GraniteSTOR system architecture that allows multiple types of devices and systems to share a scalable storage system from remote access points.
