Turning Broadcast TV into Profitable Internet TV Service
Cable, Satellite, and other types of TV Broadcasters are searching for how they can expand their broadcast services into profitable paid (subscription based) Internet TV services. During my interview with Chris Wagner from NeuLion at the NAB 2010 trade show, he explained to me that some advertising funded revenue models used by some Internet TV broadcasters are not currently generating enough revenues to cover the cost of broadcasting. The NeuLion Internet TV system is used by some TV broadcasters to offer paid subscription models through the Internet for their network content. The broadcaster provides content to NeuLion and Neulion delivers the content and manages the subscription services. This allows broadcasters to immediately begin to generate profits when they deliver TV content through the Internet.
