Getting Content for Internet TV (OTT)
Getting good content for Internet TV (OTT) can be challenging. During the OTTCon trade show, Thomas Hughes from MGM explained that while media studios are looking for new ways to monetize content (including over the top Internet TV), movie title availability may be limited for many reasons. Some movies are not available to be distributed in digital form. Current license terms (such as exclusive distribution) may also limit the availability of titles. Movie release windows (such as theater, Pay TV, DVD, and other channels may restrict the ability to license titles.
