Screen Convergence Solutions for Pay TV Operators
Pay TV operators must move away from traditional linear TV models to meet the needs of customers—watching TV whenever they want on any device. At IBC, Andrew Pons from Latens explained that screen convergence solutions can be made through a cost effective solution that includes middleware, CAS, PC client and cable gateway. Latens ECO Cable Gateway transitions cable or satellite service to a fully IP solution that allows pay tv operators to fulfill their customer’s demands for a flexible integrated service that scales as customers grow. For operators, this gives them the opportunity to compete with advanced IPTV services such as OTT and iTV, as well as extending the subscriber base and reducing development and maintenance costs.
