Advanced User Personalization Opportunities with Internet TV
With Internet TV, content service providers have new opportunities to highly personalize content and operators the ability to give subscribers Video on Demand, movie downloads, Live TV, rich media and other services with more flexibility. At IBC, Gur Ziv and Haim Bechor from PeerTV explained that the TV services over the internet offer similar channels to linear TV, but with the ability to have individual streams. The new TV models allow opportunities for advertisers to develop unique user identification since the ads differ from house to house based on user preferences. Personalization goes one step further through interactive dialog widgets, personalized access and lobby screens, which allow grouping of quick links to promoted titles and channels, as well as promotional video selected by the service provider.
