Internet Video Providers such as NetFlix and Vudu Should offer Shared Hosting Services for Schools and MDUs

Schools and large multi-dwelling units (MDUs) are facing a Internet connection challenge primarily due to Internet video services such as NetFlix and Vudu. During Craig Howards’s presentation at the Campus Televideo (CTV) conference explained that one solution is for Internet video service providers to make a relationship with schools or MDUs so that viewers can connect locally to video content (such as movies) which can dramatically reduce the amount of required Internet Interconnection bandwidth. The Internet service provider could setup a managed server within or connected through a portal to the school or MDU local network.
