TV Program Revenue Sharing and Partner Settlement - Television Content Clearinghouse
Existing and new TV broadcasters are discovering that they need good content from new sources. ViJay Sajja from Evergent explained to me during the OTTCon show that the TV broadcasters need billing and support systems that can perform as a content clearinghouse by performing revenue sharing and partner settlement. The system need to be able to document partner agreements, define revenue allocation rules, apply settlement rules, and automatically create revenue invoices and process settlement payments. Effective billing systems should be able to monetize multiple types of content such as games, software applications, video, and music using subscription, paid content, and advertising models. It should be able to support a large number of content and service items and process payments in multiple currencies.
