Internet TV service providers have several ways to add advertising to their streaming services. Chris Wagner from Neulion explained to me at the NAB show that Connected TV Advertising include pre-roll, mid-rolls, post roll video along with display graphics throughout your website. Ads insertions can be pre-scheduled or they can be dynamically inserted into live or on demand programs. A key advantage of Internet TV advertising is the ability to track videos and engagement (click through traffic). The combination of viewer targeting, dynamic ad insertion, and viewing metrics can provide a much higher return on ad spending for advertisers and high ad revenue for Internet TV service providers.
