Media Aware Content Distribution
Different types of industries are distributing many types of content throughout large geographic regions. These distribution needs for the distribution can dramatically vary. During my interview with Julian Wheeler during the NAB 2010 trade show, he explained that Tata has setup a media aware content distribution network that can automatically configure and manage distribution on global connections based on media type detection. This allows for the optimal channel selection that enables efficiency and quality control (such as transmission of real time media or stored media).
